Shanling
Shanling Electric Co., Ltd. – as it was originally called – started as a joint venture specialising in research and development, manufacture, processing, marketing and sales of audio products, as well as the provision of “high-calibre metalware” for audio components.
It made its first product, a power amplifier, in 1988. Two years later it started an audio equipment plant in Jieyang TV University, and in 1996 it moved to China’s special economic region of Shenzhen and renamed itself Shenzhen Shanling Digital Technology Development Co., Ltd.
Since then, it has beefed up its research and development resources considerably, along with its manufacturing capabilities and now does a lot of metalwork for other companies from all around the world. Shanling says it, “has become one of the few enterprises that are self developing, in co-production and manufacture of high-end audio products”.
